Salt Therapy

Salt Therapy is an ancient healing therapy that’s been around for centuries. Why is it still popular today? The answer is simple: salt therapy works!

Salt has many healing properties. It’s highly effective in treating respiratory conditions such as asthma, bronchitis, pneumonia, emphysema, hay fever and COPD. It can also provide enormous relief to people suffering from skin conditions such as acne, eczema and psoriasis.

For centuries, salt miners have demonstrated exceptional health–they rarely suffer from respiratory problems and tend to have healthy, youthful-looking skin.

In our salt therapy rooms, we have recreated the curative environment of the traditional salt mine-without any of the discomforts of an actual salt mine, of course! Our salt therapy rooms have a salt-saturated floor, together with salt-infused air-created by releasing micro granules of salt into the atmosphere at carefully controlled concentrations.

In this calming, salty microclimate, you can sit back, relax and enjoy all the therapeutic benefits that come from inhaling fine salt particles. The salt penetrates deep into the air passages, the lungs and the skin. As it does so, it provides relief from congestion,  inflammation and irritations of the skin.

Suitable for both children and adults, our salt therapy is organic, drug-free and highly popular. Bookings for couples are welcome.

What is Salt Therapy

Salt therapy is a unique treatment. It is designed to relieve congestion, inflammation and allergies of the airways and skin. Our therapy room contains a floor of salt and purified fine salt air. It is this air which contains tiny aerosol particles of salt that is inhaled as you breath, cleansing and promoting a healthy well being. People who suffer from a wide range of skin and respiratory conditions can find relief by using this therapy.

How Does Salt Therapy Help

Sit back and relax in our ergonomic leather recliners in our ‘Salt’ therapy room and let the salt penetrate deep into your body. The high concentration of microscopic particles of salt are released into this room which is very rich in negative ions, it’s these ions, the anti-bacterial and the anti-inflammatory properties of salt, that are known to have a positive effect on the respiratory system. Used to treat many conditions this natural organic substance has the ability to stimulate anti-inflammatory properties within the body. It is also known to be beneficial in helping anti-bacterial, antiviral and antifungal skin conditions.

Vibrosaun

Vibrosaun lets the whole body vibrate pleasantly, massages it, so to speak and simultaneously warms it, excluding the head. The head can be kept cool by adjustable, double sided ventilation.

A session of forty five minutes in the Vibrosaun will leave you feeling incredibly relaxed and less stressed. Muscle pains, back pains, painful and stiff joints, over-tiredness and stress symptoms disappear or decline clearly after one or more treatments. This makes the feeling of wellbeing increase and therefor you better for it.

What is Vibrosaun? Vibrosaun combines the therapeutic benefits of a dry sauna with the stimulating effects of massage.

How does it work? Clients lie inside the comfortable, padded Vibrosaun machine while it warms the body. This is the sauna aspect. The machine then vibrates the entire body (head

excluded) in such a way as to reproduce physical exercise, but without placing any stress or strain on muscles or joints. This is the massage part of the therapy.

Customers who use the Vibrosaun experience a gentle separation of their vertebra. Their blood circulates more freely along the spinal column and any tight or aching muscles relax. The increased blood flow promotes faster healing of physical injuries while bodily aches and pains simply melt away.

After just one Vibrosaun session, many people report feeling immensely relaxed and reinvigorated.

Massage is the application of manual techniques to the soft tissue to mobilise them to maintain flexibility. Massage is especially effective in breaking compensatory pain postures and patterns. For example, a tension headache is often self-sustaining because the pain makes the person clench the affected muscles even harder, which, in turn, creates more pain. A thorough neck and shoulder massage can reduce muscle tension and break the pain cycle.

Modern studies have shown that massage can be used to successfully treat a variety of disorders, including:

  • Anxiety
  • Arthritis
  • Back or neck pain
  • Soft tissue injuries
  • Chronic pain
  • Constipation
  • Depression
  • Headache
  • High blood pressure
  • Insomnia
